Outdoor public pools in Salt Lake County 2025

If you’re trying to beat the heat this summer in Salt Lake City, the county has nine outdoor public pools, and each one has a slightly different experience — some are better for little kids, some are great for actual swimming, and a few are solid backup plans for days when the splash pad doesn’t cut it.

Here’s the full list:

    • Neighborhood pool with high and low diving boards, a 25-yard lap length, and nearby picnic tables in the park
  • Draper Outdoor Pool (Draper)
    • Pool with lap lanes and a shallow play area
  • Liberty Park Pool (Salt Lake City)

  • South County Outdoor Pool (Riverton)
    • Pool offers high and low diving boards, 50 meter lap length, and a large grass area for sunbathing
  • Taylorsville Outdoor Pool (Taylorsville)
    • Pool is a zero-depth entry pool with water toys, a water slide, a diving board, and 25 and 50-meter lap lanes. Several large umbrellas provide shade on those hot sunny days, and a limited number of picnic-style tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • West Jordan Outdoor Pool (West Jordan)
    • Pool offers a zero entry area, waterslides, 50 meter lap length, and two diving boards

Some have slides, some have lap lanes, and most offer swim lessons or open swim hours. Most of them open Memorial Day weekend and run through Labor Day, but check ahead — hours and features vary by location (and by day). Click here for more information on the pools in Salt Lake County.
